About Me
I have a long history in the transport industry going back to 1973 when I passed the HGV3 test while serving in the Royal Corps of Transport. I served 16 ½ years and attained the
rank of Sargent.
I left the Army and joined the Thames Valley Police where I became a Traffic Officer, now known as Roads Policing. On completion of 17 ½ years Police service I left on
reaching the police retirement age and in 2007 became a Traffic Examiner with VOSA which is now known as DVSA. I am now retired from government service.
During my time in the Army I served in 33 countries and the following qualifications were achieved:-
- Advance Driving Instructor.
- Qualified Testing Office for all wheeled vehicles.
- Escape, Evasion and Anti-Terrorist Driving Techniques Instructor.
- Chauffeur to the Royal Household.
- Parachutist.
- Air Despatcher.
- Instructor in Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare.
- First Aid Instructor.
- Weapons Instructor.
- Trade Training Instructor.
- Staff Car Instructor.
